Yesterday I was at Ivybridge Library witnessing the pledges for the Summer Reading Challenge 2015! The children were promising to read six books over the Summer holidays by signing a pledge card that was balloted and counted in line with Guinness World Record conditions. The pledges from libraries across the UK will now be counted and verified. Fingers crossed for a new World Record!
It was lovely to see so many children eager to read and excited about books ….now the fun really begins! Good luck Record Breakers!
Sounds like a great program–hope you break the world record–either way, lots of new readers is a wonderful thing!
