Time flies… when you’re a first time author!

img_2036I’ve wracked my brain for another, more interesting, way to start this post but I just can’t think of anything more original than… where *has* the year gone?

But when I actually stop to think about it, it isn’t too difficult to explain:

It really has been a SUPER first year!

Thank you to everyone you has made it both possible and wonderful, not least Sophia and The Maverick Team.

And if it’s even possible, the next year is already set to be better, with more school visits and author events planned (not forgetting the SCBWI conference in November.)

And… *sound the claxon* I am allowed to reveal that ‘Aerodynamics of Biscuits’ is going to be published in 2017, by Maverick Books, in a set of early readers, with its reader-friendly title, “Biscuit Blast Off!” , voted for by the Key Stage One children at Ipplepen Primary School in Devon.

It is also with enormous thanks to my wonderful agent, Alice Williams at David Higham and Associates, that there is exciting news in the pipeline that I hope to be able to reveal soon!

To celebrate a year of biscuits and pirate mice, I will be running a space workshop in Waterstones (Drake Circus, Plymouth) on Saturday 22nd October. Hope to see you there.

Thank you for your continued support biscuit lovers!
