On Saturday, Dot and Duck had their first outing of 2019. Newton Abbot’s Passmore Edwards Centre was packed to the rafters with many polite and well-mannered families… and thank goodness it was!
Thanks to the lovely children and grown ups we met, Dot and Duck learned how they should and shouldn’t behave at a tea party.
As a ‘thank you’ for everyone’s help, they organised some colouring, crafts and sandwich tasting. (At the final count, ‘jelly’ sandwiches were the most popular flavour, closely followed by ‘banana and jam’ and ‘sprinkles.’ )
And, as an example of their new-found empathy, Dot and Duck would also like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to Emma, Gemma, Paul and the library team. The Passmore Edwards Centre organises some incredible events for adults and young people. We’d definitely recommend visiting their website or following them on social media if you don’t already. Or even better, pop in! They’re very friendly 🙂
