To celebrate the launch of my new picture book ‘The Tide,‘ illustrated by Ashling Lindsey and publishing with Little Tiger Press, we timed a special blog tour to coincide with Dementia Action Week, 20th -24th May.

A Totnes Biscuit Bonanza!
It was lovely to return to Totnes Library, this time to delight in all things biscuits, books and pirate mice!
World Book Week 2019
World Book Week is a fantastic celebration of stories, reading and all things book-related. This year, for me, was no exception.
Love Your Library!
Ivybridge Library do an incredible job of supporting good reading habits and reading for pleasure, so it was an honour to spend the day with their hardworking team.
We ran workshops for visiting schools, focusing on empathy and understanding other people’s feelings, all based around my newest picture book with Olivier Tallec, How Rude!
‘A Really Rude Event’ at Totnes Library
Today’s ‘really rude’ event at Totnes Library was overwhelmingly wonderful!
Friends and smiley book lovers came out in force to celebrate the forthcoming publication of How Rude! and helped to teach Duck, who had been making silly faces at members of the public and leaving books on the floor(!), some manners!
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: How Rude! *Coming soon!*
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!!
I am thrilled to say that I recently signed contracts for a new picture book!
*New Early Readers*
I am thrilled to reveal the covers of my two new early readers with Maverick!
Pirate Mice at Brixham Library
Today I visited Brixham Library for a story time session with a difference!
I knew to expect a great day, since Brixham delights in anything pirate, but I wasn’t expecting such a warm welcome and such enthusiastic books worms!
‘Design a Character’ Competition
Following a lovely school visit for Book Week, I was thrilled to run a ‘Design a Character’ competition for the KS2 children at Leigham Primary School, Plymouth.
But, gosh! What a challenge! There were 164 smashing entries from Year 3 up to Year 6 and it was a tough, tough job!
I was presented with original, beautifully illustrated and very well thought out ideas. In fact, it was *so* tough that I had to call on some help from some writerly, illustrator friends!
