My picture book adventure actually began in 2013 with an application to a very special scholarship. Encouraged that someone somewhere had seen something in my writing, this is where it all began… with an idea, a scholarship and The SCBWI-BI Conference in Winchester.

I was determined to make the most of this opportunity; gain industry contacts, top tips for submission and interest in my picture book, but I hadn’t envisaged also meeting a whole lot of lovely people and taking on a new role for the SCBWI Words&Pictures Celebrations Team!
